Practical Information

• Island Community: Velidhoo is a local island, and visitors are expected to dress modestly out of respect for local customs.

• Smoking: Please refrain from smoking inside the house premises for the safety and maintenace.

• Currency: The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is the local currency, but USD is widely accepted. Carry small denominations of cash. ATM is available on the island.

• Connectivity: Free Wi-Fi is available at Island Pearl Escape, but SIM cards (like Dhiraagu or Ooredoo) can be purchased for better coverage.

• Weather: The Maldives enjoys warm, tropical weather year-round. The dry season (December to April) is ideal for visiting.

Dress Code

Since this is an Island community, the visitors are requested to wear modest clothing while enjoying the experience of an island community. For the specific use of the visitors there is a tourist beach dedicated for the tourists for your privacy and other beach activities where you can wear swim wear in this designated beach area. 

Health & Safety

It is the responsibility of the tourists to take care of your health and safety during your stay. Island Pearl Escape cannot take responsibility for your health and safety.

Velidhoo Health Centre provides medical health services and the police station in Velidhoo will provide services you may require from them.
